Open Studio Passes are intended for folks who do not need basic instruction about how to use art supplies and equipment. If you can work safely and independently on your own, a studio pass is right for you! All of our Studio Passes entitle you to use the studio during our regular and extended business hours. Each pass grants you entry to one of our unique creative spaces, from jewelry and stained glass to leatherworking and sewing. Our rooms are equipped with professional-grade tools and materials, giving you everything you need to bring your ideas to life. Perfect for individuals seeking dedicated space to work on projects or for those wanting to explore new artistic techniques at their own pace.
To ensure safe and proper use of our specialized equipment, you’ll need to take a class at Painted Sky Center for the Arts before accessing certain spaces. This is required for the Leather, Ceramics, Jewelry, and Stained-Glass classrooms, where hands-on training is essential.
However, if you're looking to use the Music/Library Room or the Painting and Drawing Room, no prior class is needed to obtain your pass.
After your purchase, you'll need to attend a brief orientation. Use the calendar below to schedule your session. During orientation, we’ll walk you through the guidelines for using our facilities and ask you to sign a waiver.
Your Access Pass will be set up on an automatic charge, ensuring seamless access without the need to renew manually. Just email us at [email protected] if you need to cancel or pause your pass for a month.
Once your orientation is complete, you’re free to use your pass anytime our creative spaces are available, without needing to schedule ahead—just drop in when classes aren’t in session!
After completing your orientation, you can bring a guest with you to enjoy the space. Guests will need to purchase a Day Pass to join you in the creative areas.
If you’d like to schedule private use of the Library/Music Room, Conference Room, Paint Party, Group Activity, or rent the Community Hall, simply go to our "Book a Space" page and book your room. Please note that additional charges may apply for these bookings.
Some materials are available for purchase, while others are included with the pass. For younger participants, adult supervision may be required in certain areas.
Short-term storage is available for some pass holders. Please check with the Department Lead for specific policies on storage and shelf space.
