Apply to Teach a Class

  1. Click the link to the right to apply.
  2. We'll contact you and answer any questions you have.
  3. We meet up in person.
  4. You'll get a background check.
  5. You're approved to teach! 

 

Submit your  Class

  1. Click the link to the right to submit the class directly through our calendar app.
  2. Your submission MUST include the following:
    • Your name
    • Email address
    • Class title
    • Suggested start and end time
    • Days the class repeats, if applicable
    • Description of the Class
    • Location (Room number)
  3. Click the link to email the photos of your class to Amanda. (Please send only ONE email for all classes you are submitting for the term. Send with the subject "Class photos, your name, name of term". Example: Class photos, Mary Jones, Spring Term
  4. Our Programs Coordinator will approve the dates and the event will be visible on the calendar or she will contact you to alter the dates. 
  5. Your class will not be availbe for registration on our website until the new term's classes are LIVE.

If you apply through our Point app, the application doesn't take too long. Once you apply, we can usually schedule an in person meeting within a week. After that, you will need to fill out your background application, and that can take 2 days up to several weeks. That's up to the background check company. Make sure you allow plenty of time before the class submission deadlines to complete the process.

  • Fall (Sept-Nov): 1st week in July deadline to submit
  • Winter (Dec-Feb): 1st week in October deadline to submit
  • Spring (Mar-May): 1st week in January deadline to submit
  • Summer (June-Aug): 1st week in April deadline to submit
  • Fall, Winter and Spring: We encourage 4-6 week class series
  • During Summer Term: 1-2 evening sessions and weekend workshops are preferred
    Taking into account regional events, such as fair, that could compete with attendance.

People love to learn new things. We are open to suggestions for new classes. We have leatherworking, sewing, ceramics, stained glass, jewelry making, and painting and drawing supplies, tools and equipment on hand. We will give you a tour of the spaces when we meet so you can take a look.

During Fall, Winter and Spring, we encourage 4-6 week class series.

During Summer Term, we encourage 1-2 evening sessions and weekend workshops.
Please take into account regional events, such as fair, that could compete with attendance.

Most of our teachers are paid for teaching the class, some volunteer. That's up to you. Contact us with the "Email" button above for the details on payment amounts.
