About the Instructor
Amy Leavitt is an Ore-Ida-based fused glass artist whose work transforms sheets of glass into vibrant, luminous creations. With a passion for color, texture, and light, Amy blends technique and intuition to make pieces that feel both modern and timeless — from bold, abstract compositions to delicate glass ornaments and decorative art.
Her creative practice explores the magic that happens in the kiln, where individual pieces of glass fuse together into one seamless vision. Amy’s work celebrates play, experimentation, and the joy of discovery inherent in glass art. Whether crafting elegant suncatchers, layered panels, or unique keepsakes, she brings a thoughtful eye and joyful spirit to every piece.
As an active member of the Ore-Ida arts community, Amy enjoys sharing her love of glass with others, inspiring students and fellow artists alike to explore medium, color, and technique. Her studio is a welcoming space for learners at any level — from first-time makers to seasoned creatives looking to deepen their skills.
Amy’s fused glass pieces can be found in local galleries, art shows, and in the hearts of collectors who appreciate both craftsmanship and artistic expression.
