Add a handmade touch to your garden while learning the basics of slab building in this beginner-friendly ceramics class. Participants will create custom plant markers using simple handbuilding techniques, shaping and decorating their pieces with names, patterns, or designs that reflect their personal style.

This class is a great introduction to working with clay and offers a relaxed, creative environment for all skill levels. Your finished markers will be kiln-fired and ready to bring charm and organization to your garden or indoor plants.

No experience needed.

Photo Release:

By registering for classes or programs at Painted Sky Center for the Arts, participants acknowledge and agree that photographs, video, or other media may be taken during classes, events, or activities.

Participants grant Painted Sky Center for the Arts permission to use images of their artwork and/or likeness for marketing, promotional materials, social media, website content, and other organizational communications, without compensation or further notice.

If a participant prefers not to be photographed or recorded, they must notify Painted Sky Center for the Arts in writing prior to the start of the class or event.

Safety & Liability Notice: 

Participation in classes involves the use of art tools and materials. By enrolling, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with studio activities and agree to follow all safety instructions. Painted Sky Center for the Arts is not responsible for injuries resulting from failure to follow provided guidelines. Adult supervision is required for youth participants as specified by class policies.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans change! Here's how cancellations are handled at Painted Sky:

  • Teacher Cancellations: If a teacher needs to cancel a class at any time, we will issue a full refund to all registered students.

  • Student Cancellations: Students may cancel up to one week prior to the class and receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made less than a week in advance are non-refundable.
    Our instructors put a great deal of time and care into preparing materials and lessons, so we appreciate your understanding.

 

 

Rachelle Hinkle has been an artist all her life, with a deep love for transforming natural materials, especially stones, into wearable art. A devoted rock hound, she discovered wire-wrapping as a creative outlet and has explored jewelry design, painting, beaded arts, as well as other mixed-media forms. What began as a hobby quickly became both therapeutic and confidence-building, eventually growing into a meaningful way to supplement her income. Rachelle is passionate about sharing her craft and loves helping others discover their own creativity through hands-on artmaking.
